I'm Arushi Tiwari. I've always liked the rain and since it gave me a sense of peace, I wanted to try painting something that gave off the same aura as a rainy day and while searching for reference pictures I found this particular one, it looked really visually pleasing to me with the colors of the sky contrasting each other on both ends and the way the woman's umbrella stood out. I thought it'd be a nice break from all the work I'd been doing for school and also a little challenge.
